Dick Strawbridge is an engineer-inventor, sustainability expert, TV presenter and arguably the owner of the finest moustache in show business.Dick is an energetic and versatile television presenter. A retired Lieutenant Colonel and man of many interests, you may know him from his ‘Scrapheap’ days, or from his popular BBC2 series on sustainable living and eco-technology ‘It’s not easy being green’.
Over the last couple of years Dick has been involved in an exciting range of programmes, including returning to his engineering roots as the presenter of ‘Scrapheap Challenge’ and, after he was a finalist in ‘Celebrity Master Chef’, he and his son James showed their culinary skills as they sailed around the south coast of the UK, meeting local food producers and cooking together in ITV’s Hungry Sailors. In ITV’s ‘Saturday Farm’ Dick and James worked, sourced ingredients and cooked on an organic farm.
More recently Dick has taken up the challenge of renovating a chateau in France where he now lives with his family. His adventures have been shown over 2 series on Channel 4’s Escape to Chateau.
Pippa Jameson is an experienced Interior Stylist, Art Director, Consultant and TV Personality who has worked in London and abroad for the past 20 years. She is the Founder and Director of Pippa Jameson Interiors, a styling and production company that creates and produces shoots.She appeared as the on screen Interior Designer for an ITV1 prime time show ‘Bad Builders Bang to Rights’ with Presenter Dominique Littlewood. She also often regularly called upon by Alex Polizzi, as an interiors expert, in her hit TV shows The Hotel Inspector, Twofour and The Fixer.
Lawrence Gold is the straight talking financial expert from the award winning BBC 2 television series – Bank of Mum and Dad. In this series he sets about tackling the dire finances of a long line of 20 and 30 somethings, with the help of their parents. Lawrence will be continuing on this theme at the South East Property Expo this year talking on and answering questions about intergenerational financial planning and, specifically, how to get the kids on the property market.
As the MD of Gold Wealth Management, Lawrence is a highly respected authority on a wide range of personal and property related financial matters. He is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a Chartered Financial Planner and an expert in Personal Investment Planning and Pre & Post Retirement Planning.
His additional media work includes being featured as a resident expert on Channel 4’s Richard & Judy, BBC 1’s The One Show and on Five’s The Wright Stuff. He is also the author of the financial advice tomb -‘Healthy, Wealthy Finances’.
Rob Jarman is head of planning and development at Maidstone Borough Council. He is in charge of delivering the council’s local plan and has an in depth knowledge of local planning initiatives including, building regulations, heritage, landscape and design and planning administration. H also has a hand-on understanding of current and impending developments across the wider Maidstone area.
David Lawrenson is the founder of www.LettingFocus.com and an independent expert and consultant in residential property investment who is quoted frequently in the media. He specialises in providing independent advice on buy to let and property investments.
He is the author of two books for landlords: “Successful Property Investing – How to Make Money in Buy to Let” and “Buy to let Landlords Guide to Finding Great Tenants”. He is also author of a book for tenants called, “Tenants Guide to Successful Renting” and edits a site for tenants called, www.Tenants-Renting-Guide.com
Damian Walters is the founder of The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) – a government sanctioned and not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the KBB installation sector.
Damian has vast retail installation experience including management within some of the UK’s most respected KBB brands. Additionally, he has worked as an industry consultant, supporting the set-up of installation models for several high-profile businesses, both in the UK and overseas.
